Description

Built by the Grant family in Dufftown, Balvenie is at the heart of Grant's range of blends. Despite their proximity and shared water source, the style of spirit produced by the pair are quite different, with Balvenie producing a sweeter, more honeyed and very lightly peated new make spirit. This Single Barrel expression from The Balvenie has been aged for 12 years in a first fill Bourbon cask of a single distillation. The Balvenie Malt Master hand selects only those casks characterized by sweetness and subtle vanilla oakiness to be bottled as The Balvenie Single Barrel. Each bottling forms a limited edition of no more than 300 hand-numbered bottles drawn from a single cask, making each bottle unique and unrepeatable.

Lingeringly sweet, black pepper, dusty vanilla, grapefruits, fresh oakiness, walnut nuttiness, lemon zest, short, oaky and malty, hint of fruit, rummy caramel, fading menthol, long and lingering, honey, vanilla, light spice, subtle touch of citrus, baking spice note, minty malty.
