The Balvenie 15 Year Old Single Barrel Sherry Cask is a single malt Scotch whisky matured exclusively in a single European oak sherry butt for at least 15 years. Each bottle is hand-numbered and drawn from a single cask, yielding no more than 650-800 bottles per cask. This non-chill filtered release is known for its rich, spiced character with notes of dried fruit, nuttiness, and elegant oak.

Nose
Dense Christmas cake with icing, full of sticky, syrupy dried fruits, cherries, finely chopped nuts and grated nutmeg. Flamed orange peel, ginger, a hint of struck match, fresh orange segments and plums develop. Rich with elegant oak and subtle spice.
Palate
Big old fashioned Sherry matured character, more bread-like fruitcake, malt loaf and nutty Oloroso. Slightly bitter and rum-like, superb. Dried fruits are overlaid with a gentle nuttiness.
Finish
Spicy fruitcake with cocoa. Long and sherried. Wonderful. Dry feel. Bitterness but pleasing. Nutty. Almonds. Crazy long.
