Nose
The peat is immediately apparent, balanced with plenty of wine influence and spicy rye grains. There's some charred lemon peel with the classic pungent Killowen DNA.
Palate
Heavy approach on the palate, with some ABV heat and peat, and more subdued citrus and red fruits. The mouthfeel is relatively light, with plenty of rye spice.
Finish
The finish is surprisingly clean, with a big hit of flavours on the palate, which fade out to a slightly smoky and spicy end.
