Description
A historic malt distillery located in the Highland region of Scotland. Since 1989 it has been Japanese-owned as part of the Asahi Group. Although it only produces single malt today, the distillery dabbled in grain whisky production from 1955 to 1984, even producing rare examples of single blends. An independent bottling company based in Belgium. It was founded in 2019 by Joeri Van Den Broeck and its portfolio has included bottlings of Scotch whisky, Cognac and rum. This Ben Nevis 1996/2025 from The Whisky Jury is an exceptional 28-year-old single malt that will delight connoisseurs. Distilled in 1996 and bottled at 45.7% ABV in a 0.7-liter bottle, this whisky impresses with its depth, elegance, and complexity. Aged for nearly three decades in a refill hogshead, this whisky delivers an exquisitely balanced dram with a waxy texture, rich fruitiness, and subtle elegance. The combination of tropical fruit, polished wood, and classic Ben Nevis complexity makes this a timeless whisky.
