Nose
A warm burst of sherry sweetness opens the glass: dried fruits, dark cherry jam and a hint of cocoa. Behind this appear the typical Ben Nevis notes: spicy depth, a hint of earth and fine herbal notes. Exotic fruits – mango, papaya, a little guava – set bright accents. In the background, a delicate hint of olive oil shimmers, elegant and subtle.
Palate
Silky and complex. Sweet dates, raisins and candied orange combine with the distinctive, slightly untamed spice of the distillate. The exotic fruitiness clearly emerges and is supported by warm oak spice. The lower alcohol content of 43.5% vol. ensures remarkable harmony and roundness, without losing depth.
Finish
Long-lasting, soft and aromatic. Sherry sweetness, light spices, a last drop of dried mango – and again this fine, almost creamy shimmer of olive oil in the background.
