Nose
Rich, deep. The aroma palette's intense complexity is immediately revealed in dried peat, toffee, orange zest, chocolate drops, a sprinkling of salt and toasted walnuts. The earthy nose then develops ever-more heady registers (iris, hyacinth).
Palate
Clear, full of tension. The peppery and hot (paprika) flavour palette wavers between notes of candied pear, apricot and citrus fruit (grapefruit). With gentle malt and ashy notes, the palate then becomes more tropical (persimmon) with menthol notes.
Finish
Long, silky. On the finish, dark chocolate coats a now more subtle peat.
