Description
In 1908 Peter Thomson established his first grocery store in Perth with his own brand, Peter Thomson's Whisky. As his chain expanded to four shops, demand for his blend increased until he decided to rename it Beneagles after the Gleneagles Hotel, which was being built just outside Auchterarder by the Caledonian Railway Company. Beneagles was created in 1922 and constructed largely from Speyside malts. This is a 20cl ceramic decanter of Beneagles Blended Scotch Whisky in the form of a Buzzard, part of the Scottish Birds of Prey series, produced by Peter Thomson Ltd.
