Nose
Fabulous aroma of stewed summer berries including strawberries, blackcurrants and red currants, richly locked together by a muscular peaty blast. Traces of fortified wine and grape-like qualities, with lightly smoky notes of sweeter tobacco and toasted vanilla.
Palate
Initial dry roasted nutty notes flow over the palate, advancing to a heavy peaty affair with subtle notes of dried raisins and candied fruit. Toasted vanilla, red fruit jam, and meaty notes like pork burnt ends are present.
Finish
Medium in length with charry pork notes darkening to soot, orange rind, heather, and charred lemon. Long nutty walnut/oak wood with a little wood polish and peaty smoke.
