A stunning Speyside offering, this cask strength single malt harks from Benrinnes distillery and demonstrates an enriched version of their house character. Distilled in 2012, the spirit matured exclusively in first-fill and refill oloroso sherry butts. This highly limited, small batch is released as part of independent bottler Signatory Vintage's 100 Proof range. Notes of date and cherry jam.

Nose
Deep aromas of fig, Medjool dates, cocoa powder, cinnamon, and clove. Underneath lies dark chocolate ganache and just a hint of leather. Plush raisin loaf, orange marmalade and blossom honey drift over vanilla tablet, polished oak and a dusting of cinnamon.
Palate
Date syrup, cherry jam, espresso beans, cracked black pepper, and gingerbread. Layers of nutmeg and burnt sugar emerge with time. Silky bursts of fig jam, treacle toffee and sweet malt coat the tongue, chased by clove-spiked chocolate, roasted hazelnut and a bright flash of candied citrus zest.
Finish
Long, spicy, and indulgently dark, with tannic grip, dark cocoa, and a whisper of black tea and smoke. Medium-long, warming and gently drying—lingering sherry-soaked fruitcake, mellow oak spice and a final flourish of vanilla-malt sweetness.
