Description

Gordon & MacPhail have experienced such success with Benromach since they took over the practically derelict distillery in 1993, that in 2016 nine new washbacks were installed, increasing the potential capacity of the distillery to seven hundred thousand litres per annum. This Benromach 2005 Sassicaia Wood Finish is a limited edition single malt, distilled in 2005 and bottled in 2012. It underwent an initial maturation period, followed by a 29-month finish in prestigious Sassicaia Tuscan wine casks, known for producing one of the most sought-after Cabernet Sauvignon wines in the world.
