Description

This Benromach 2003/2025 is a 22-year-old Single Malt Scotch Whisky, bottled at 55% ABV. It represents the first collaboration between Benromach distillery and independent bottler Wu Dram Clan, released as a small batch of 1,076 bottles. Matured exclusively in a combination of first-fill Bourbon and Sherry casks, it showcases Benromach's traditional production methods, including a subtle smoky character. The whisky was distilled in 2003 and bottled in 2025.

Rich and inviting with layers of tropical fruit, roasted nuts, dark chocolate, and gentle smoke. Hints of honey, citrus zest, and mineral freshness add brightness and balance, alongside notes of banana, vanilla, orange, and coconut. Mature peat smoke, jamon, paprika, menthol, smoked strawberries, and cigar boxes are also present.
Palate
Silky and layered with sherried sweetness and bourbon vibrancy. Notes of walnut, hazelnut, caramel, mango, papaya, and a touch of briny smoke intertwine with dark chocolate, charred meats, raisins, old books, tobacco, leather, and cracked black pepper.
Finish
Long and graceful with lingering fruit, nuts, and refined smoke. A balance of sweetness, salt, and subtle peat remains beautifully poised, with tropical fruits, dark nut-sherry tones, mineral freshness, smoky cocoa notes, earthy smoke, cigars, and light oak spices.
