Nose
Thick black smoke, pepper, tar, and jalapeño, with wet pebbles, ozone, salty sea spray, sauerkraut, golden syrup, pickled lemons, and vegetal peat smoke. Hints of chocolate, coffee, cedar, spices, walnuts, almond, and cinnamon with oily smoke.
Palate
Puffs of peat smoke atop heavily peppered meat grilling on the barbecue. Spicy with cracked black peppercorns, oily mouthfeel, ashy smoke, leather, fresh tobacco, apricots, honey, orange, and lemon. Rich with soot, sweet aromas, and dried herbs.
Finish
Medium-long, with smoke fading to ash, lingering fruits (green apple), wet tobacco, faint puff of ash, citrus peel tannins, toasted almonds, and deeply caramelized orange slices. Very slightly floral, with persistent peaty notes, sea salt, and a hint of chilies.
