A REMARKABLE MARRIAGE OF ONLY MALTS FROM ISLAY. The Limited Edition Big Peat bottle in your hand carries a big, sooty, beachy and smoky selection of Islay Single Malt Scotch Whiskies. Each of the malts selected for this special vatting brings its own unique character, all offering variations on the theme of ash, sea-salt and smoke. All of this and more is the big spirit in this very bottle. In true Douglas Laing style, "No" is proudly written on the label to indicate that there has been no colouring or chill filtration. This is a naturally presented whisky, bottled at 48% alc./vol. and matured in our own dark and windswept warehouses of that magical, mystical island of Islay.

Nose
Warm slabs of tangy peat, with hints of chocolate, coffee, cedar, spices, walnuts, almond, and cinnamon. Opens fresh, salty, and clean, developing to sweet malt dried over peat with a damp earthy character.
Palate
Simple, easy-going, and delicious with notes of heavy smoke, cut grass, peanut, spices, and peat. Ashes, sweet tar, beaches, and smoking chimneys are present, with a sea breeze and BBQ smoke.
Finish
Quite abrupt with cut grass, coastal notes, and smoke. Long and lingering, replicating the palate with salty, tangy liquorice, smoke, bonfire ashes, and a phenolic quality.
