Nose
Fresh, ripe strawberries and raspberries sit alongside meringue, whilst mango and pineapple join gingerbread men and an assortment of gummy sweets. Yellow stone fruits, vanilla sweetness, peaches, yellow plums, lemon candy, lemon peelings, maybe some unripe pineapple, redcurrants, honey, and a resinous hint of birch wood with freshly cut grasses underneath.
Palate
Supple and immaculately integrated. Berry and tropical fruit salad is topped with drizzled melted chocolate, nougat pieces and chopped hazelnuts. Oak spice follows – gently piquant and adding uplifting cinnamon and a peppery bite. Mint and ginger, with lots of lemon and grapefruit peelings. Some honey sweetness, burnt sugar and yellow fruits make it rounder, helped by a tiny bit of chocolate and vanilla custard. White pepper, hazelnuts and hints of oak shavings.
Finish
Lingering fruit sweetness married perfectly with enduring oak and fading spices. Fairly long, with more oak spice, a hint of gingerbread and zesty notes. Medium length, a touch of sweet stewed fruits, mocha and hazelnuts, as well as white pepper and chalk.
