- Nose
- Warming, elegant, spicy with cinnamon, vanillin, raisins, licorice, leather, and old mahogany. Hints of Rhum Agricole, floral notes, apple pie, cookie dough, and toffee. Also lemon zest, sandalwood, resin, fresh fruits like apricots and red apple, sweethearts candy, and heather honey. Highly aromatic with malted barley, orchard fruits (pears, peaches), mature melon, vibrant citrus, strong vanilla, white mint, coconut milk, and light spices like ginger.
- Palate
- Short sweet onset, somewhat thin texture, leafy, green, paper-like and woody. Dryer, spicier, and raw with fruity sweetness. Cinnamon and mocha notes. Oily mouthfeel with tobacco, fresh ginger, licorice, nutmeg, meringue, caramel, tinned peaches, pineapple juice, and strong black tea. Clean and lively with lemon custard, green malt, light oak bitterness, soft ginger, vanilla, and precious wood.
- Finish
- Medium length, somewhat sweet, lacks a bit of staying power, no off notes or bitterness. Malty, lingering spices, and a whisper of butterscotch. Long and full, retaining freshness.
