Description

This is a single malt whisky from Bimber Distillery, part of 'The Spirit of the Underground' series, which is a collaboration with Transport for London. This particular release celebrates Piccadilly Circus station. It is a single cask bottling, matured in an ex-Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry cask, cask number 436. Bottled in November 2022 at a cask strength of 62.1% ABV, this release was limited to 314 bottles.

Nose
Expect a powerful and inviting aroma of rich dark chocolate, sticky toffee pudding, and a medley of red berries. There are also notes of tobacco leaves, ginger, and clove.
Palate
The mouthfeel is thick, oily, and intensely rich. The flavor profile is dominated by sweet PX sherry notes of treacle, dried figs, and raisins. There is also a robust spiciness from the high ABV and the active cask, with flavors of cinnamon and oak spice.
Finish
The finish is long, warming, and very sweet, with lingering notes of dried fruit and dark chocolate.
