First launched in 1879 by Gordon Graham & Co., Black Bottle is a blended Scotch whisky known for its distinctive smoky character. The current incarnation of the Black Bottle blend dates from 2013, when owner Burn Stewart Distillers adjusted its blend to incorporate more Speyside malts for a smoother profile, while still maintaining its Islay influence. This 10-year-old expression, a limited edition, was released in January 2020 after a decade of maturation in American oak casks, marking its return after being discontinued for over 20 years. It balances peat with fragrant and fruity notes.
