Description

George Willsher founded his whisky business in the city of Dundee in 1864. Over the course of the twentieth century, Black Bull grew into a worldwide brand, and is now owned and operated by Duncan Taylor. This 21 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky uses a high percentage of quality Speyside and Highland malts, matured in sherry and bourbon casks. It is bottled at 50% abv and is unfettered by chill filtration.

Nose
Citrus, red apples, tangerines with a touch of caramel, lemon, orange, orchard fruits. Minty menthol and licorice, vanilla and nutty spiciness, very slight smokiness.
Palate
Lively and fresh with zesty notes, nutmeg and cloves, sweetness of vanilla and barley sugars. Oily, viscous mouthfeel, heat, citrus and cereal notes, menthol, mild smokiness.
Finish
Warming pepper, gentle nutty notes and toasted marshmallows. Peppery spice, creamy hints. Long, lingering, bitter heat, with water, a more typical finish with some bitterness remaining.
