Description
Bladnoch Alinta is a Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky, part of the distillery's Classic Collection. Its name, 'Alinta', is an indigenous Australian word meaning 'fire' and 'flames', reflecting the peated nature of this expression. It is the first peated whisky in Bladnoch's core range since the distillery was taken over by David Prior in 2015. The spirit was distilled in 2009 by the former proprietors and matured in a combination of first-fill ex-Pedro Ximenez sherry and first-fill ex-bourbon casks. Bottled at 47% ABV, it is non-chill filtered and has natural colour. [cite: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, Scotch Whisky Auctions, The Whisky World, Whisky.Auction]
