Nose: Straight out of a retro sweet hamper; strawberry foam, rhubarb & custard sweets, lemon sherbet and white-sugar mice.
Palate: The taste next like a 'Fentimans Rose Lemonade' with added ginger, then fizzy sweet popcorn and candied angelica.

At 59.5%, this is a proper cask strength Lowlander that doesn't hide behind a low ABV. It delivers exactly what the label says without the usual marketing fluff. The high proof provides a solid backbone to all that retro candy, and the warm spice on the finish keeps it from being a one-note sugar bomb. It is a direct, punchy dram for those who actually like their whisky to bite back a bit.
