Nose
Rich sweetness – creamy caramel, dried fruit raisins, prune. Adding water, a small note of mint toffos.
Palate
Quite a hit of spirit. Oily mouth feel. Rich dark fruits, toffee and blackcurrant dominate. Water tempers the arrival somewhat with a tantalising sweet hit as the whisky goes over the taste buds. The blackcurrant is somewhat reduced and there is an increase to the toffee note.
Finish
Rich dark fruits, toffee and blackcurrant notes linger, with a sweet and gingery character.
