Description
A historic Highland malt distillery that makes up part of the extensive Scotch whisky holdings of Diageo. One of the oldest in Scotland, it dates back to the late 18th century and its modern history is hallmarked by its association to the Arthur Bell & Sons blends. A conceptual collection of independent whisky bottlings from Livingstone Rare. Launched in 2023, it was created in partnership with Elixir Distillers, Dave Broom and the illustrator, Quentin Blake. Set to feature 42 whiskies, it is divided between six series, released as five annual "acts.". The back label also provides a character description by Dave Broom: 'The rough hemp of the tunic stiffened with clotted blood, the wearied walk through the thickened glaur of autumn woods, surviving on a diet of acorns and stewed tea. A solid and trustworthy messenger, a worker, a warrior. Not for him the comfort of the palace; his is a life willingly given to service.'
