Description
Colonel Albert B. Blanton stood at the head of the O.F.C. Distillery (as Buffalo Trace was known back then) from 1921 until his retirement in 1952. Blanton steered the distillery safely through several hardships including Prohibition, a devastating flood and the Second World War. In 1984, master distiller Elmer T. Lee launched Blanton's Single Barrel Bourbon in honor of this revered leader. This special release of Blanton's was selected and bottled for the 60th anniversary of French importer La Maison du Whisky. Barrel no. 6 matured in warehouse H on rick no. 15, and was bottled in August 2016 at 60% ABV. Only 186 bottles were ever made.
