Description

A bottle of Borders Blended Scotch Whisky, part of The Borders Distillery's experimental Workshop Series, WS:02 'The Long & Short of It'. This limited-edition blend was entirely distilled in the Scottish Borders and matured in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels. It is chill-filtered and bottled at 40% ABV. Only 8,400 bottles were released worldwide, each individually numbered.

Nose
Very citrussy: lime marmalade, lemon drizzle cake, and a hint of waxy orange peel. Cloudy apple juice, subtle raisin, macadamia nut, mascarpone, and mixed seeds.
Palate
Light-medium. Tart lemon, tinned pear, and orange marmalade. Eccles cake (flaky pastry and raisin), crème pâtissière, and slightly overdone multigrain toast. Banana and yoghurt smoothie.
Finish
Medium-short, on lemon and lime sorbet and shortbread.
