Description

The oldest operational distillery on the isle of Islay, built in 1779. Today it is part of the Suntory Group, having been acquired by the Japanese company in 1994. Under their ownership it has been nurtured into one of the most collectable names in Scotch whisky. This Bowmore 1988 Sherry Cask Matured 26 Year Old was released for the Feis Ile festival in 2015, matured in a single sherry cask, and bottled at 48.3% ABV. Only 248 bottles were produced.
