This is a 25-year-old Single Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky from Bowmore Distillery, independently bottled by Mackillop's Choice. Distilled on Islay in 1992 and bottled in September 2017 from a Bourbon cask at cask strength of 50.7% ABV. It is non-chill filtered and part of a limited outturn of 288 bottles. Gentle citrusy lemony malt backed by some clear, yet balanced, smoky peatiness. Vanilla and heather with a touch of citrus peel.
Palate
Nicely peaty without being over heavy with a nice balance of citrus tones as well as some marine tones. Smoky honeyed palate with well integrated wood spice and oak.
Finish
Nice citrus lemon peel finish. Follows through from the palate.
