Description

The Bowmore 1966 50 Year Old is a rare and highly sought-after Islay single malt Scotch whisky, released in 2017 as the third edition in Bowmore's Vault Legends Collection. Distilled in 1966, a significant year for the distillery as it marked the first official bottling of Bowmore Single Malt Scotch Whisky and the year legendary Distillery Manager Eddie MacAffer joined the company. This exceptional expression was aged for 50 years in a single ex-Bourbon hogshead cask (#5675) within Bowmore's No. 1 Vaults. Only 74 bottles were released globally, presented in a handmade crystal decanter with sterling silver adornments, housed in a handcrafted cabinet made from Scottish oak.
