- Nose
- Rich and complex, balanced between nutty character and sweetness with initial notes of roasted hazelnuts, leather, fresh pipe tobacco, dark chocolate and oak spices. Followed by dark maple syrup, liquorice and charred peaches, with a background of Crème Anglaise, bergamot syrup, subtle sandalwood and light peaty notes. Also ripe stone fruits, honeyed almonds, and vanilla with hints of citrus and smoke.
- Palate
- Roasted chestnuts, honey sweet with rich salted toffee, grilled Seville orange zest and dry thyme, with sultanas, oak spices, velvety milk chocolate and peat smoke. Also dark chocolate, roasted coffee, and dried apricot, balanced by a gentle peatiness. Bold notes of peat, dark chocolate, black pepper, butterscotch sauce, vanilla, and Morello cherries.
- Finish
- Velvety mouthcoating, then a mouth warming with long drying finish of peat smoke notes. Long and luxurious, leaving lingering impressions of sweet oak, peat smoke, and a delicate hint of sea salt. Also smoked pineapple husks, cacao nibs, date pits and dark cherries.
