Description

This is an extremely rare Bowmore released for the distillery's bicentenary year in 1979, created for Fecchio & Frassa and the Italian market. The whisky is rumoured to be from 1969 but this is not stated on the bottle. It is a vatting of whiskies from ten different years between 1950 and 1966, matured in sherry casks. There are two other releases bearing this label as well, a pair of 1969 vintage single sherry casks produced for VIP clients of Fecchio & Frassa. The oldest operational distillery on Islay, Bowmore was built in 1779.
