Surely there are few locations more evocative than the shores of Lochindaal, an area positively steeped in rich Scottish folklore. It's no wonder then that Bowmore has a whiff of magic about it (or perhaps that's just the whisky). This Bowmore 15 Year Old was a limited edition distillery exclusive released for Feis Ile 2019, matured in first-fill bourbon casks and bottled at 51.7% ABV. There were 3000 bottles released.

A nice lingering smoke, briny, sea breeze, shells and minerals, lemon peels, vanilla custard, unripe pears, green bananas, slight medicinal note, mint, oak spice, roasted pistachio, bergamot.
Palate
Smoke, elegant, vanilla custard, sour lemon, green bananas, salty/briny, minerals, grapefruit, honeyed malt, caramel, dark chocolate, salt-laced vanilla, candied orange, butter shortbread, subtle liquorice.
Finish
Mid-long, peat more dominant, fruits to the background, lingering, hints of cranberries and wood smoke, oily and beautifully mouth coating.
