Description

A magnificent and exceptionally rare whisky from Islay's Bowmore distillery, this is the 2023 release of its 40 Year Old single malt, forming part of the distillery's Ultimate Rare Collection and the 'Mythical Guardians - The Final Edition' series. Matured for four decades in a combination of American oak ex-bourbon barrels and sherry-seasoned European oak hogsheads, with a significant portion receiving an extended finish in first-fill Spanish oak Oloroso sherry casks. This limited edition offers profound depth and concentration, underpinned by Bowmore's characteristic whisper of Islay peat.
