Description
The oldest operational distillery on the isle of Islay, built in 1779. Today it is part of the Suntory Group, having been acquired by the Japanese company in 1994. Under their ownership it has been nurtured into one of the most collectable names in Scotch whisky. This spectacular 30 year old Kranna Dubh, named after the Celtic legend of the Sea Dragon, was laid down at the Bowmore distillery in 1976 and bottled for the travel market in 2006. It is one of just 1,800 limited bottlings and comes complete with a presentation case.
