This special vintage 1989 16 years-old Bowmore Bourbon Cask Limited Edition Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky is made from 134 carefully selected bourbon casks, bottled at natural cask strength 51.8% vol. in the year 2005. It is non chill filtered and offers classic Bowmore fruitiness with balanced peat.

Mellow peat, smoking embers, sea salt, brine, and seaweed. Notes of dried fruits, caramel, sweet honey, milk chocolate, toffee, vanilla, and lemon cake frosting. Hints of daisies, violet, and tropical fruits.
Palate
Dazzling, multi-layered peat with a balance of fruitiness and sweetness. Creamy vanilla, caramel, soft fruit, and light peat. Hints of dark chocolate, sour apple, and a medicinal, briny character. Oily, velvety, and moderately oaky.
Finish
Long, smooth, and elegant with mellow peat and lingering sweetness. Notes of vanilla, smoky oak, pepper, lemon, and a semi-sweet, briny character.
