This 7-year-old Bowmore Islay single malt, independently bottled by Living Souls, was fully matured in second-fill bourbon barrels and bottled at 50% ABV. It embodies the rugged spirit of Islay's coastline, offering a chance to enjoy the classic Islay distillery's house style at a younger age, with sweetness, toffee, fruit, and smoke coming through.

Nose
Juicy grapefruit, salty sea spray, canned peach, typical Bowmore mineral and flinty peat smoke, beeswax and honey, ink, wet newspaper, hints of swimming-pool chlorine, malty cereal, tea biscuits, sourdough, clay, milk chocolate, hazelnut cream, toasted oak.
Palate
Sweet, malty, and mineral arrival. Salty and oily peat smoke, peach and lime, honey. Very viscous and oily for its young age. A slightly more tropical flash, including mango, then mineral notes and wet chalk, bittersweet grapefruit and lemon zest, cold smoke, burnt heather, salt and white pepper.
Finish
A lingering note of bonfire ash fades into the breeze, capturing the wild spirit of the island with every sip. Dry and sooty, but also oily and creamy.
