Description

Duncan Taylor & Company presides over the ownership of one of the largest privately-held collections of Scotch whisky casks. Its headquarters are in the North East of Scotland, close to Speyside and it has the complete control of the entire production process, from cask selection and management, through "in-house" product and packaging design to its own "under bond" bottling facilities. This is an independent bottling of Bowmore from Duncan Taylor as part of their Peerless collection. This was distilled in February 1968 and aged for 34 years. Only 230 bottles were drawn from cask #1421.

Nose
The nose is finely peated, a slight smell of mouldy wood, but very nice fruity notes too (plum), dry fruits which make this interesting nose even more complex.
Palate
The first mouth is slightly bitter, hazelnut, cashew nut, rapidly followed by slightly acid hints, keeping the impression of mouldy wood and fine peat which already characterized the nose.
Finish
The finish is very long, exactly on the same palette than the nose and mouth were.
