Historical context
This bottling commemorates Keizo Saji, then president of Suntory, who oversaw the filling of the cask in 1991. His son later donated the cask to Bowmore employees after his father's death.

Nose
Breath is sticky sweet dates, delicious maple syrup and walnuts thrown on a smouldering fire. Aroma of ripe plum, dried apricot, and red currant, accentuated by cinnamon and nutmeg, set against the comforting scent of aged oak.
Palate
Sip ripe figs and dates wrapped in a smoky velvet-peat blanket, and coffee laced with orange and cinnamon. Luxurious blend of caramelized apple and toffee, complemented by toasted nuts and a whisper of gentle peat smoke, all enveloped in a silky, creamy texture.
Finish
Savour the long and lightly drying finish with subtle hints of caviar, plum skins and coffee. Long, warm finish with lingering notes of dark chocolate and a subtle trace of sea salt.
