Description

This is a 20-year-old, cask strength single malt distilled at Bowmore distillery in 2005 and bottled in 2026 from a single bourbon barrel. This older Islay release is an exclusive bottling for Royal Mile Whiskies.

Maltiply Tasting Profile
Nose
Initial note of crisp faint bonfire smoke, caramel apples, dry leaves, sea spray and lobster pots, some yellow fruits, nectarines and peach and apricots, some fresh tarragon and sage, with a hint of lavender.
Palate
Oily, minerality and salinity paired with more wood fire smoke on a wet day, forest floor dry leaves and earth, some menthol mintiness, citric juice - lemon and lime, a little bruised kiwi, oyster shells and langoustine claws, with time there's more juicy fruit notes in the back of the palate with some tinned pineapple and syrup and jelly tots.
Finish
Peat and tea leaves in the back of the nostrils are accompanied by a return of sweets and fruit. More like passion fruit, with some Dalmore chocolate and mild drying, leaving a salty after-taste.
