Description

Bowmore 33 Year Old The Changeling is an extraordinary single malt whisky, the second installment in the Frank Quitely series, a collaboration between Bowmore and graphic artist Frank Quitely. Inspired by Islay folklore, this limited edition release of 667 bottles was matured for 31.5 years in American oak hogsheads before an 18-month finish in Tawny Port casks. It was originally released exclusively for the Travel Retail market.

Surprisingly vibrant and floral, with notes of potpourri, rose water, Turkish Delight, sandalwood, and fresh oak. Meadow flowers, peaches, plums, and summer grass.
Palate
Pungent perfume notes, floral sherbet sweetness reminiscent of parma violets, lavender, sugar, heat, tropical fruits (pineapple, guava, clementine), bitter clove, and anise spice. Stewed figs, port, and whisps of peat.
Finish
A final sweet nutty note of marzipan, stewed fruit, peat smoke, brine, and warming oak spice.
