Description

A 1997 vintage Bowmore single malt, this is the second release in The Distiller's Anthology series which were originally distillery exclusives. It was aged entirely in bourbon hogsheads for 25 years and bottled at a cask strength of 47.8% ABV. This release celebrates their current manager, David Turner.

Nose
Impressive and charming nose. Dried fruits, creamy vanilla with orchard fruits, peach and apricot. Sweet, stewed prunes, with oaky, barbeque smoke and salted caramel.
Palate
A very pleasant, rich and smooth taste in the mouth. Lovely texture. Orchard fruits. Spicy, rich fruit cake with smooth, dark chocolate, cherries and maritime peat smoke.
Finish
Elegant long-lasting aftertaste. Sweet, peaty and still spicy, with white pepper mouthfeel. Dark fruits and caramel toffee, with the distinctive Bowmore smokiness.
