Description

The oldest operational distillery on the isle of Islay, built in 1779. Today it is part of the Suntory Group, having been acquired by the Japanese company in 1994. Under their ownership it has been nurtured into one of the most collectable names in Scotch whisky. This is a limited edition, individually numbered, cask strength bottling, originally released in 2000. Bowmore Voyage was matured in bourbon casks before being finished in port pipes.

Palate
An explosion of flavors with peat, oak, fruit, spice, heather honey, rich cherry, dark chocolate, and nutmeg.
Finish
Medium length, clean, crisp, softly peated, with lingering notes of prunes, dates, baker's chocolate, licorice, long warmth, toasted almond, and gentle smoke.
