Nose
Sweet waxed fruit, mulching straw and muddy farmyards, with hints of violets and gentle, earthy smoke. Maritime ozone and sea spray appear, along with richer notes of leather, driftwood and smoked ham. Smoked candle wax, eccles cakes with dark marmalade, toasted coconut, marzipan with an oily edge, whitecurrants, herbal & anise notes. Fruit, saline, lemon curd, meringue, toffee, nuts and a light spice accompanied by dried fruit and smoke. Lightly peated, featuring a delightful smoldering heather fire, hay, old leather and black tea.
Palate
Peppery fruit. Oily white chocolate truffles, white berries, smoked elderflower, spicy and aromatic herbal honey, waxy orange, minerally white wine. Full and warming with crisp notes of fruit, lemon curd, creme brûlée, toasted grain, smoke and light bit of dried apricots. Licorice notes alongside herbal nuances like laurel and stable tones, with a creamy and buttery mouthfeel.
Finish
Long, earthy and smoky, with lots of herbs and a bit of dry oak. Long and peaty with notes of fruit, saline and malt intertwined. Exceptionally long and pleasing, characterized by hay tones and licorice, with a delightful twist of kiwi fruitiness.
