Description

One of Scotland's most iconic and long-running independent bottling brands, Connoisseurs Choice was introduced by Gordon & MacPhail in the 1970s and has been their flagship label ever since. Evolving steadily over the decades, as of 2018 it has been reserved for some of the company's most premium casks. Brora is a storied distillery in the Sutherland area of Scotland. Despite having closed in 1983, it developed cult status. Connoisseurs Choice is one of the most easily recognised ranges from the independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail. This range was launched by George Urquhart - one of the first of four generations of the family to build Gordon & MacPhail - back in the 1960s; a period where most malts were used in blends so this was quite an unusual move for the company.
