Description
The Ryggia Inaugural Release is a single malt whisky from the Bruges Whisky Company, founded in 2019 by Peter and Thibaut De Meyer with the goal of producing high-quality Belgian whisky. This inaugural release came out in September 2022 and matured for three years in a unique combination of maple syrup, red wine, cognac, and Moscatel casks. The name "Ryggia" is derived from an Old Norse word meaning "wild untamed beast," which is one of the proposed origins of the name Bruges. Only 2093 bottles of this limited release were produced.
