Nose
Sweet and fruity with notes of peach, citrus (orange, lemon rind), melon, pear, and green apple. Underlying cereal sweetness (malted barley, biscuit dough), vanilla, honey, and a hint of toffee. Subtle waxy notes, toast, and a faint coastal saltiness.
Palate
Syrupy and oily texture with light honey, brown sugar, and caramel. Orchard fruits (stewed apples, peaches), dried fruit, and creamy barley. Herbal bitterness, liquorice, and a mineral, saline edge. Some oak spice and a touch of ginger bitterness.
Finish
Medium to fairly short, malty with notes of nutmeg, salted caramel, and cumin. Lingering coastal finesse, light oak tannins, and fading fruit sweetness. A dry, bittersweet character with a touch of salt and bitter orange.
