Description

Murray McDavid was formed in 1996 by Mark Reynier, Simon Coughlin and Gordon Wright and was named after Reynier's grandparents Harriet Murray and Jock McDavid. It quickly became known for its irreverent tasting notes, edgy Gaelic slogan - 'Clachan a Choin' - and later for its ACEing process of finishing whisky in wine casks. They are based at Speyside's Coleburn distillery and in 2013 the company was taken over by Aceo Limited. This 18-year-old Bruichladdich single malt was distilled in 1989 and bottled by Murray McDavid. It was matured in a combination of bourbon and Madeira casks.
