Nose
Mellow sherry aromas from the refill sherry hogsheads mould beautifully with the jelly bears fruitiness from the distillation. Add to that the oaky vanilla from the American casks and you have a whole bunch of aromas plying your sense. Lots of esters and oak plus the maritime magic of seaside maturation provide a treasure chest of flavours. It's classic Bruichladdich and only gets better with aeration.
Palate
Initially the oak engulfs the palate like waves filling rock pools. Then the fruitiness of the spirit comes through.
Finish
Very long with a gentle quiet warmth. This is the big easy.
