- Nose
- An intense aroma with an undeniable whiff of sulphur, dark, jammy red fruits, minty oak spice, and an old-school, farmy Bruichladdich vibe. Also notes of burnt caramel, chocolate truffles, mead, shortbread with orange zest, marshmallow, leather, dried tea, marzipan, butter, and straw.
- Palate
- A thick, almost sticky mouthfeel with sweet, browned butter, burnt marshmallow, and more farm yard funk. Notes of barbecued beef, caramelised nuts, teak wood, milk chocolate, mint, black pepper, ginger root, and jammy apricots. Dried fruits, orange zest, and buttery toffee with hints of nutmeg and polished oak are also present.
- Finish
- Medium to long, leathery, with a hint of smoke. Richly sherried with lingering notes of fruitcake and oak spice. Quite herbaceous, with dark caramel notes and warming spices, and a slightly funky character.
