Description
A single malt distillery on the isle of Islay, currently part of the whisky holdings of French company, Rémy Cointreau. The distillery's flagship brand of single malt is a non-peated style, however it also produces peated variants called Port Charlotte and Octomore, as well as The Botanist gin. This 11th edition of Bruichladdich's Black Art series is a 24-year-old unpeated single malt, drawn from pre-renaissance casks that were filled before the Islay distillery's 2001 renaissance. The precise cask roster and barley sources are kept secret by Head Distiller Adam Hannett, making each release unique and unrepeatable. It is non-chill-filtered and free from added colouring, bottled at 44.2% abv to preserve its natural maturity and character. Only 1,286 bottles were produced for this limited edition release.
