Nose
Soft ripe green fruits like papaya, green grapes, melon, and pear, with notes of anise, cinnamon, mint imperials, honeysuckle, orange blossom, candied almonds, and nougat. Also, toffee, white fruit, creamy crème fraîche, salty beach air, and green grapes. Some burnt oak, grass, and cucumber skin initially.
Palate
Decadent with sweet biscuit flavors of barley, creamy toffee, and toasted oaks. Opulent, caressing, and enthralling. Viscosity of Sauternes. Silky smooth, warm, and mellow. Very fruity with fresh plum, fig, and grape. Cookie-like barley and walnut nuttiness. Apple, dark berries, and white pepper spice. Sweet, perfumed, bitter, fizzy, acidic, and soapy notes. Oranges and fresh ginger.
Finish
Long and complex, with flavors that don't fade. Acid, perfume, golden raisins, bitter almonds. Salinity, like other Bruichladdich expressions. Light oak note smothered by fruitiness. Sweet, soapy, drying, creamy, with orange peel. Grass, tart, earth, ginger, tea, watery, cashew, cereal. Sea salt.
