Description
A single malt distillery on the isle of Islay, currently part of the whisky holdings of French company, Rémy Cointreau. The distillery's flagship brand of single malt is a non-peated style, however it also produces peated variants called Port Charlotte and Octomore, as well as The Botanist gin. This Bruichladdich 1968 De Viris Illustribus was bottled by Moon Import, an iconic Italian importer and independent bottler, founded in Genoa in 1980 by Pepi Mongiardino. It is revered for its pioneering approach to the labelling and presentation of independent bottlings, particularly its use of serialised releases, many of which have become all-time classic collections.
